Louise Dowd

Louise is a composer, songwriter and producer whose work spans television, film and advertising. Her extensive experience in songwriting, sound design, sound engineering and music production brings a versatile and contemporary sound to every project. Her music moves confidently across genres, with a focus on creating distinctive, emotionally driven work for sync, always shaped by a genuine love of making music that connects and supports the stories it serves.

Her compositions have been commissioned by major clients including Banijay Group, Princess TV, Big Sync Music, Big Talk Productions, Ricochet, Sky TV, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and Discovery Channel. She has contributed to numerous albums for Universal Production Music labels; Atmosphere, Bruton, Chappell and Sketch. She has also produced music for Warner Chappell’s Music Libraries, BMG Production Music and Extreme Music.

Louise’s work on the hit series Married at First Sight earned her ASCAP London Music Awards in both 2023 and 2022. In 2020 she was named on the PRS list of the 100 Most Successful and Influential Female Songwriters in the UK, recognising her long‑standing contribution to the industry.

Her songs and compositions have appeared in a wide range of films, including Alex Strangelove, Better Than Us, You’re Not You starring Hilary Swank, Cedric Kahn’s Wild Life, Pierre Godeau’s Down By Love, Hideo Nakata’s Chatroom, Fabienne Berthaud’s Sky and Philippe Godeau’s Le Dernier Pour La Route.
